At Becoming New Fitness, our mission is to help women build strong, capable bodies while renewing their minds in Christ, so they can live with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

We exist to simplify fitness, cut through the noise, and give women the tools to transform their bodies through strength and sustainable habits, not extremes.


AT THE CORE

We believe true transformation starts from the inside out.

Before you can change your body, you have to change how you think—about yourself, your health, and what’s actually possible for you.

In a world full of confusion and misinformation, many women have been led to believe:

  • That their metabolism is “broken”
  • That their age is a limitation
  • That their worth is tied to a number on the scale

We’re here to replace that with truth.

Through strength training, education, and faith-based perspective, we help women:

  • Build lean muscle and confidence
  • Improve how their body looks and performs
  • Develop discipline without burnout
  • Steward their health in a way that honors God

Because this isn’t about becoming smaller.

It’s about becoming stronger, wiser, and more aligned with who God created you to be.


MEET THE FOUNDERS

Becoming New Fitness was founded by Nigel Thompson, B.S. Health & Exercise Science (Wake Forest University), and Courtney Thompson, DPT (University of New England), B.S. Kinesiology (Georgia State University).

With backgrounds in strength training, kinesiology, and physical therapy, they bring together science, structure, and sustainability to help women build strong, resilient bodies for life.


THE HEART BEHIND IT

Hi, I’m Nigel, Christian Strength & Body Recomp Coach and co-founder of Becoming New Fitness.

For years, I’ve worked with women in their 30s, 40s, and beyond who felt stuck, confused, or frustrated with their bodies—not because they weren’t trying, but because they didn’t have clear direction.

What I’ve learned is this:
Most women don’t need more motivation… they need clarity.

They need to understand:

  • What actually works
  • Why it works
  • And how to apply it in a way that fits their life

That’s where we come in.

I specialize in helping women build strength and improve body composition through simple, structured training, while also helping them renew their mindset so they stop second-guessing themselves.

Because real transformation isn’t just physical.

It’s learning how to:

  • Trust yourself again
  • Show up with confidence
  • And take ownership of your health

My faith is the foundation of everything I do. Not in a forced or overwhelming way, but in how I guide women to see themselves differently.

Because when you understand who you are, and whose you are, you move differently.

This isn’t about chasing a number on the scale.

It’s about becoming strong, physically, mentally, and spiritually, so you can fully show up for the life God has called you to live.
